INTRODUCTION TO SHADOW YOGA

 

 

Friday, December 13 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Indigo Yoga, Walnut Creek

This monthly workshop is a good entry point for anyone interested in learning more about Shadow Yoga. The 90-minute class will introduce Shadow Yoga as a system, teach the introductory warm-ups (dasa chalana) and movements (jiva chalana), and allow time for demonstration and discussion. All levels welcome; please wear comfortable clothes.

SHADOW YOGA BASICS CLASS

Sundays, 11:00 - 12:15 pm

No class November 10 - December 15

The class provides an entry point for those new to Shadow Yoga. This is a good starting point for new students and will ultimately prepare them for learning the first Shadow Yoga Prelude, Balakrama. This ongoing, drop-in class is appropriate for all levels but does not meet every Sunday. Please see the Indigo Yoga website or call for updates.

SHADOW YOGA PRACTICE CLASS

Wednesdays, 7:30 - 8:30 am

Indigo Yoga, Walnut Creek

An opportunity to review and refine introductory material and aspects of the preludes. Content varies depending on student experience.

BALAKRAMA PRACTICE COURSE plus SEATS

 

Refining the Balakrama, 6 sessions

Sundays, September 15 & 29, October 6, 20, 27 & November 3 - 12:30 - 1:45 pm

***New MINI-Session Added:  Sundays, December 22 & 29

This course will utilize the Balakrama prelude to emphasize and prepare for the introductory seated positions. There will be time for review and refinement of the prelude itself, and special attention will be given to the karanas as they relate to seats. Prerequisite: prior exposure to the Balakrama prelude.
